Monday, November 15, 2010 Franco Corti, president of the board of Ecofirenze, delivered to Thomas Lange, Chairman of the Meyer Foundation, the check symbol of the donation, the presence of institutional authorities and entrepreneurs in the district of Florence. On this occasion it was possible to see a preview of the new facility for the treatment of end of life vehicles and scrap iron. Ecofirenze has designed and built the structure using the most innovative technologies for the safety, treatment and recovery of materials, thus meeting the primary objective to proceed with absolute sizing of the environmental impact derived from the end of life vehicles and dispersal on territory of ferrous materials.
The participants of the event potuto prendere atto, dalla visita dell’impianto e dalle esaurienti delucidazioni rese dai responsabili dell’impresa, degli indubbi benefici per il comprensorio fiorentino, sul piano ambientale, che deriveranno dall’operatività della struttura.
Il presidente di Ecofirenze, Franco Corti, ha precisato che nei prossimi giorni si procederà nell’avviamento dell’attività operativa, assolvendo così all’attività di pubblico servizio a cui è preposto l’impianto, ringraziando i partecipanti all’evento e gli Enti che hanno saputo sostenere un’iniziativa imprenditoriale privata che soddisferà al meglio le primarie esigenze di tutela ambientale della collettività.
